How Guerrilla Marketing
Solved a Marketing Challenge.

Background:

The Big Apple Circus agreed to perform in Stamford, CT as part of a local fundraising
effort to renovate a downtown park.



Challenge:

With very limited marketing dollars create awareness to generate ticket sales.



Solution:

We ordered 5,000 red styrofoam clown noses and packaged them with a circus promo card
and $5 OFF discount coupon for the show. We then distributed them to the public (in Malls, etc) including elementary schools.

A kick-off press conference included the mayor, and others, wearing the clown nose. It made a great story for local news, and pics and video from the event were posted on all Social Media channels for extended marketing purposes.



Result:

The show sold out immediately and had to be extended a second week due to demand.
